Leaving for Warmth and Sun
Just a quick post to say that I had a wonderful weekend knitting and spinning, but doing enough talking and eating that I don't have much to actually show for it! I was lucky enough to have some lovely friends come to my house for one last visit before I move, and my only bit of unhappiness is how quickly the time passed - I miss you all.
The aforementioned house has already been sold and unsold in the past 6 days that it has been on the market. Here in NY an offer, even accepted, is not final until the lawyers draw up the sales contract, and in the meantime one of the buyers has gotten chilly feet. I'm not really worried, there will be other buyers to come along, there's plenty of time, but boy, it would have been nice to be able to relax the vigilent polishing and straightening.
I did finish socks for Adam on Sunday night - the Opal socks with all of the short pieces of yarn in the center of the skein- but forgot to take a picture last night, because I was busy packing. I'm off to AZ for 3 different business meetings and conferences, which is fine because my parents are just outside of Phoenix for the winter. I'll spend the weekend visiting them, so won't be back for almost 2 weeks. Hopefully I will have more finished projects to take picture of in addition to the socks when I return.
Thanks to Catherine for this:
You Are Scooter |
Brainy and knowledgable, you are the perfect sidekick. You're always willing to lend a helping hand. In any big event or party, you're the one who keeps things going. "15 seconds to showtime!" |

I was Scooter, too! I've enjoyed reading up on your weekend -- chocolate seemed to be the theme -- and I hope you have some fun out west in the midst of work.
and I hope you report Inspector Louser to whoever gets that sort of information.
Your Food! He touched your food!
I'm Miss Piggy!
Report the idiot weasel who touched your food! But I'm sure that beautiful house will sell quickly.
Honeybun,
Someone is going to be a lucky so-&-so to have your house.
And to the bumbling Inspector, piffle to him!!!
Scooter is probably like you & Adam as hosts: you always make your friends feel like America's guests.
XOXO
Bummer about the house sale! I have to admit, I am surprised. Guess the house won't have a birthday party after all, heh?
But yes, I think you should report that obnoxious, bumbling inspector, too. He touched your food! He broke your stuff! He took way too long!
Looking forward to seeing you in May ~
Hugs, Jen
